We took on the task of migrating the site from Webflow to WordPress — maintaining the same high-end design and premium look, while ensuring the site was just as fast, responsive, and visually appealing.

The end result: a site that delivers the same polished experience, now built on a platform the client feels confident managing.

Why a migration is harder than a rebuild

Rebuilding a site from scratch is, oddly, the easier job. Nobody is comparing the result to anything. A migration is judged against a version the client already likes, which means every spacing decision, hover state and animation curve is a thing you can get visibly wrong. Webflow also generates its own CSS architecture, so "keep the design" does not mean copying stylesheets across — it means rebuilding the same visual outcome in a completely different system and then proving it matches.

The parts that take the time are rarely the ones clients expect:

• Interaction parity. Webflow's interactions are authored visually and have no direct WordPress equivalent. Each one has to be identified, understood and re-implemented, and the ones nobody remembers requesting are the ones that get noticed when they disappear.
• URL preservation. Every existing URL either survives or gets a redirect. Anything missed is a page that had ranking history and now returns a 404, which is how migrations quietly cost traffic months after launch.
• Editing without breaking. The point of the move was in-house control, so the build has to give the client real editing freedom without letting a content change break the layout. That is a structural decision made during the build, not a training problem afterwards.

Why Ownership Was the Real Goal

Simply Euro's frustration was not with how the site looked — it was with what happened when they wanted to change it. On a hosted page builder, the design, the content and the hosting come as one bundle, and leaving means leaving all three at once. That is fine until you need something the platform does not do, at which point the only options are a workaround or a rebuild.

Moving to WordPress separates those concerns. The client owns the code, the content and the database, and can change who hosts it without touching the design. This is the same reasoning behind moving off a hosted ecommerce platform, and it is why we generally steer clients toward platforms they can leave.
